The European Parliament, or the land of Lower Saxony Landtag

As a representative body elected by the people, the Parliament is the supreme constitutional body of land. Parliament established by the laws of land, approve budgets and elect the State President or the Minister, the Minister-President. In addition, the European Parliament has an important role in the formation of the government and its control.

We live in an indirect democracy, that is representative. All branches of government from people, and has used it with the elections and voting, such as referendums, as well as the constitutional bodies of the land: the legislature (Landtag), the executive (the government and the governments, which depend on), and the case law (European Court of Justice and other state courts). Landtag has a special status for all of these constitutional bodies, because it is the only directly elected by the people.

Landtag is a representative body which represents all the people. At the same time, the body of transformation, which changes according to different opinions and different interests, it is a legally binding decisions and influence over the country. Will the elected body, because its members are elected by members of other state bodies (the government land, the State Court, the Court of Accounts of the land, which is responsible for data protection). It also has control of the body, because it uses a number of tools to monitor the government and its national government.
